Magens Bay\u00a0(18.366\u00b0N 64.930\u00b0W) is a\u00a0bay\u00a0in the\u00a0Northside\u00a0region on\u00a0Saint Thomas,\u00a0United States Virgin Islands, located in the\u00a0Caribbean.<\/p>\n

Located on the North (Atlantic) side of the island, Magens Bay (Estate Zufriedenheit) features a well-protected white\u00a0sand beach\u00a0stretching for nearly three quarters of a mile. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations on the island, as well as a gathering place for locals. The beach sits at the head of a deep bay, the arms of which are Peterborg\u00a0peninsula\u00a0to the east and Tropaco Point to the west.<\/p>\n

The bay\u2019s northwest exposure means its waters are usually calm, although storms in the North Atlantic can occasionally generate large waves in the winter months. The sandy bottom means\u00a0snorkeling\u00a0is of limited interest, although\u00a0turtles,\u00a0conch,\u00a0tarpon\u00a0and other fish are commonly spotted. Local\u00a0fishing boats\u00a0anchor in the eastern part of the bay where there is a boat ramp.<\/p>\n
